Description:

Prof-Gnome-theme

Made by paulxfce

Call me old-fashioned, but I do not like all the dark themes out there. My focus is this:

A pleasing, clear and easy-on-the-eyes theme that is meant for those who use the Gnome-desktop professionally on a daily basis.

The focus in this theme is usability and compatibility: GTK-2 applications and GTK-3 applications look virtually the same.

IMPORTANT:

This theme is developed for the gnome DE. It works on GTK3.22 to GTK3.29, and GTK3.32/34, NOT GTK 3.30.

How to install:

Download the theme,

Just copy the extracted file to a '.themes'-folder you make in your home directory.
Then use Tweak Tool and select the theme.
LOG OUT AND BACK IN for changes to take full effect !

Great theme but the top bar in Nautilus looks as if it was a compact, or even super compact variant.
Do you think you could make one with a slightly wider top bar?
Just a personal wish.
Thanks for the great work!

The topbar-size depends on the font-size .you should have a normal sized headerbar with font set to 11. Or you could also play with you scale-settings. Set it to 1.04 for sample.

Thanks, I’ll try that.
This is the sole theme I have that shows that way.

The theme is made to do so. It uses REM for the height of the headerbar, which depends on the font-size

Ok, thanks.
I'm actually using Roboto Bold 12 for the window title font.
It's really Nautilus that looks differently.
There's not really a titlebar in Nautilus.

Just set the interface-text font-size at 11. I use Roboto Regular too.

Great, that did the trick, thanks! :)
A last suggestion if you don't mind:
Can you do a solid variant too? :)
Thanks much!

Please show me the exact settings of font-size and scaling-size and font-type. Because I cannot reproduce it here...
Btw the titlebuttons themselves do not scale. I have not yet found a decent solution for that.

And for the record: just increasing the font-size (not scaling) will work too.

I like it! Finally a clean, light theme with blue tone. I miss the blue folder icons and I think the window close button should be something else than orange. It would be cool if installing from command line was possible to get update automatically. Anyway, nice job!
